china is pivotal, there in syria, with iran. everybody is looking to china for leadership. >> and let's be clear. north korea, all they really have is military power. and what keeps them afloat? china. we're talking about our relationship with china. and it's such an important one. this signifies the magnitude of importance here. china is a tough relationship. it reminds me of a game of chess. it's not a game of checkers. you have to think ten steps ahead when dealing with china. if you want to talk about human rights, you're going to have to take something else off the table. so, you have to move forward in a way that we can work with china. it's a challenge. but it's also potentially an opportunity. >> it's crucial. carol, china is pivotal economically, increasingly militarily, politically, certainly. it is the place that everyone has to look to for guidance and leadership on all these issues. >> right. and i think the big question here is, can we believe that china really is all up in arms, please excuse the pun, over the sit
